Famagusta is a city located along the eastern coast of Northern Cyprus, which is the most beautiful example of medieval architecture. We will see the chapel of Saint Barnabas, the monastery built next to it and the iconostasis museum. Not far from here is the ruined city of Salamis, where, walking among the ruins, we can recall the past of the once most important city of Cyprus from the time before Christ. Then we can look into the deserted streets of Varosha, the famous ghost town guarded by soldiers for 50 years. After that, we will take a walk in the center of Famagusta, visiting the Othello tower and then one of the most beautiful monuments of French Gothic, the former St. Nicholas Cathedral, which today functions as a mosque, then a little relaxation at the Turkish bazaar in the castle garden!
